Hey guys!!
Sorry its taken me so long to post on here. Alot has transpired since May 24th...God's so good though because He has a purpose for my life, and a tiny smidgen has been revealed to me, and I'm so excited about serving God!!
I have a friend who has a friend and through my friend I was able to contact her friend and talk over facebook with her. Through our correspondence she told me all about her sister who was a missionary down in Honduras. She hinted to me that they were always looking for teachers. I was so excited and I started asking questions, and more questions, and more questions. I was interested to say the least. But I had made one huge wrong decision that led to heartache and I wanted beyond a doubt to make sure that this was God's will for my life. I couldn't "think" I knew what I was doing, I had to make sure the plans I was making were God's plans for my life. So I took a full week to think and pray and read my Bible. I was watching the Tannous's house that week, God was working everything out perfectly for me. It was quiet and peaceful there. After a week, I knew in my heart God wanted me to go. The missionary down in Honduras even called me and talked to me about the work down in Honduras. It got me even more excited to see that I would be put to work. I am excited to see all that God has down there for me. I have no idea what to expect. The language will be different, the climate will be different. the people will be different, my living environment will totally change, and I know it will get lonely and even discouraging some times. And yet, God seems to just give me a joyful and an excitement that I don't understand.
When I was growing up on the mission field, I always told myself and others that I didn't want to be a missionary, I wanted to be a teacher and work in the States. God knew my heart, and He had His own way of changing my mind. God always knows what's best for our lives even better than we know ourselves :) So through a series of circumstances, and me getting close to the heart of God, my desires began to change. My heart began to soften towards leaving my friends and family to serve God. I can never explain how God changed my heart only to say that when I grew close to God He gave me all the desires of my heart. (He might of had to change my heart a little...lol) but God is a God of Faithfulness. He has always been there for me, and I am so excited that I can serve Him, and step out by faith to do what He has called me to do!!

If your Bible is not falling apart, you are....
Yesterday I went to work. Work is no fun, especially when I realized that I am not going to be working there all the time for the rest of my life. Its miserable, and thats how I have come to thank God so much for calling me into the ministry where I won't have to deal with fast food business anymore. After work, I decided to go for a drive, because I didn't want to waste my night away on the internet, I grabbed some books and my Bible and went for a drive., I wasn't sure where I would end, but I knew I needed to get some air. I turned on some music, and began talking to God. I didn't know what my place was in the future, but I wanted to make sure my relationship with GOd wasn't going to suffer. "God I don't know what your perfect will for my life is," I began, "but its all I want, I dont want your permissive will I want your best...." my voice trailed off and I began listening to the music I had put in....
I arrived at the beach in time to see the sun set. God has been so good in my life. I thought to myself. God created everything for our pleasure, and as I watched the sun set, I realized if God had a perfect design for even the sun, He must have a perfect design for my life. I opened up a book I was reading, it was entitled: Discover your Destiny. It was written by Cary Schmidt. He has written some amazing books! In this chapter he began describing how Christians can sometimes make the mistake that they were going to be a youth director or pastor's wife or choir director because God had "called them" to do that. Christians have to be so careful to check that they are doing those things because God wants them and not because they are doing that because they are selfish ambitions. It is hard to know what God really wants out of a person. It is best to put everything out of your life, and focus on what God really wants. If God has something planned for you, He will work it out! If its just a selfish ambition and God takes it away, its not His best for you and you would never have enjoyed it fully! When I understood this, it took my breath away. God's perfect will will be accomplished if our hearts are right. I want God's perfect will for my life, and so I must personally be willing to do whatever God wants for my life by taking all my ambitions and dreams and putting them aside, and watch God do His perfect will for my life!! With God all things are possible :) :)

Sometimes We Wait...
Patience=Waiting on God's Timetable!! Waiting on God is one of the hardest things to do. it is necessary, but oh so hard to wait on God. I love Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagels, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." God's waiting until we are ready for His will, sometimes. Sometimes we must go through times of hardship and loneliness so God can show us who He really is. It is hard for me to trust God that He will supply my every need, I want it and I want it now! God gives strength. God doesn't tell us to wait and then ignore us, He gives us strength as we wait. Infact His strength is abnormal- He gives strength to keep on in the race and not get discouraged!! God always gives us confidence when we are doing the right thing. He gives us courage as we struggle to serve Him while we are waiting. He also has fellowship with us. God doesn't give up on us or ignore us, He simply shows us that He wants to be closer to Him in the waiting process!!
FAITH BEGINS WHERE MAN'S POWER ENDS!!! Its when I realize that I cannot accomplish anything on my own, or fix my own problems, that I realize that God can! God has a specific plan for my life, and I just need to trust Him to work everything out. God's plans are always so much more awesome than anything that I could ever dream up anyways!

When Life Throws Lemons
So I once heard in Bible college, "Falling down doesn't make you a failure, but staying down does." It's ok to fall down. We all make mistakes. Some are simple honest mistakes, but then others are hurtful and take more time to heal. Mistakes are caused by everyone because we are human and no one can be perfect. God is always still the same, though, and He wants us to forgive just as Christ forgave us not for only every sin we committed but also for every sin we would ever commit in our life. God is so good. :) Sometimes I don't understand how God could forgive every mistake and every sin, but He did. God is so amazing. Just because we make mistakes, it doesn;t mean we have failed in life, it just proves that we are human! God wants us to get back up onto our feet, and serve Him. Staying down in the dust is only going to hurt and damage us. We are a failure in life if we don't get back up. We've got to realize who God is and what He has for our lives. God wants to accomplish something through us, but He cannot if we are laying in the dust with Quit written in the sand. When problems come, look up. God is ready to help you and carry you, but you have to look to Him. Its so easy for me sometimes to look at all the problems that come across my path and wonder why people make mistakes, but God knows. He also knows that I have made mistakes of my own, and I still make mistakes, but God wants His children to grow from their mistakes.
WhenI get hurt from people its so hard sometimes to reallize that it will be worth it all one day. God is still molding me though, because He is teaching me how to react and deal when others hurt me. God please help learn this lesson. I don't want to have to keep learning it over and over. :) With God all things are possible!

Nerd Day!!
Today was awesome!! Ok so last night I get asked to teach 1st grade. I was a little suprised, because I had just graduated from Bible college on Thursday, and I was already asked to sub a class. It was very interesting. I was very nervous, and even more so when I found it was Spirit Week at the CHristian School. It was going to be Nerd Day so I had my brother to come in as "Mr. Nerd", and do some jokes and things for the kids. They LOVED him sooo much :) It was a very tiring day!! I lost control of the kids after 1 p.M....because they were so hiper and tired of school. All in all it was a pretty awesome day! I learned that Experience is definitely the best teacher. :)

What are your Expectations?
So I have been very sick since Tuesday. I have had a terrible headache and a fever which is no fun. I have layed around but that is starting to get annoying. I keep telling everyone that I got on Spring Break the easy way....everyone else's starts tomorrow but I got sick so I have already started my Spring Break!! Just not the way I would have liked to start it. But one of the best things that I did today was watch a S. M. Davis DVD. It was called Expectations. It was a great encouragement to me. He preached on how alot of times whether we are husbands or wives, brothers or sisters, church members or coworkers, we all have expectations. And many times when those expectations are not met, then there is alot of discouragement and anger or bitterness, because we didn't get what we wanted. He preached on the Shunamite woman that Elisha would often visit. She made a room for him to visit. She didn't expect to get anything in return, but she wanted to be a blessing and an encouragement for the man of God. The man of God asked her what he could do for her. I love her answer because she said, " I dwell among my own people." She was content with what she had. Many people today are not content with what they have. But we should always be content for the place and position that God gives us in life! Expectations ruin relationships. When we expect ppl to do things for us, we are discouraged and bitter when they don't act or do something for us. Our friendships and relationships are then ruined. He gave the quote that we should never endure our positions in life, but fall in love with them! I really liked that quote, because so many times it is easy for women to see that their lot in life is not always that exciting and easy, but God has a purpose for everyone and rather than look at all the negatives, we should fall in love with it. :) Anyways I enjoyed that DVD today!! It was such a great encouragement to me, and I hope it was to you as well.
God's Will- Nothing More Nothing Less, Nothing Else!!
God is so good! Last week was an awesome week. Kirstein (one of my college friends) was kidding around with me, and I with her. I made the comment a few weeks ago, that I could see her being a pastor's wife. She looked at me and said"no, but I can see you being one!." So from there we have always been going back and forth on that issue. It is amazing to see how God works though, because I have never envisioned myself as a pastor's wife, and I knew I never had anything in me, no talents or anything to be a pastor's wife. But God kept speaking to my heart about it. Last Wednesday, there was a pastor from TN who came for our chapel. He spoke on how he was just a backwoods guy, and God spoke to him and asked him to preach. He didn't understand how or anything but God wanted to use him. That was his message and He spoke on just obeying God, it doesn't matter what you are or what you think you are God can still use you! He went to Isaiah and Moses where Moses made a whole lists of reasons he couldnt serve God, but God knows everything. He made you after all, do you think He doesn't know what you are capable of? It was an awesome message, and I surrendered to be a pastor's wife that morning. It was an awesome thing to be at peace in my heart, because I know that whatever God wants out of my life, I am willing to do it. Sometimes God just wants a willing heart. He may not want me to be a pastor's wife, but He does want to know if I am willing. And its awesome to realize that God is with me whereever I go and whatever I do. I am so excited to see what God is going to do with my life!!
